What to Expect During the Dental Veneer Process

During your first visit, Dr. Sarkar talks with you about what you’re hoping to change. He examines your teeth, listens to your desired changes, and confirms whether veneers are the right fit before proceeding.

From there, Dr. Sarkar previews your new smile using Digital Smile Design, and you’ll give feedback on a physical mock-up before any enamel is touched (more on that process below). Once the design is approved, a small amount of enamel is removed to make room for the shell, and digital impressions of your teeth and bite are taken so the lab has an exact match to work from.

Our dentist places a temporary set while your permanent veneers are custom-made, which usually takes two to three weeks. Once they arrive, he removes the temporaries, checks fit and color under natural light, and bonds the final veneers in place.

A short follow-up visit afterward confirms everything feels comfortable and looks the way it should.

Note: Because a small amount of enamel is removed to place them, veneers are a permanent step, so it’s worth discussing your goals fully with Dr. Sarkar before moving forward.
